Magee Resource Group has been retained by Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children to recruit a Cardiac Step Down/PACU, Nursing Manager in Wilmington, Delaware.

The Position

This Nurse Manager will facilitate and lead the day-to-day operations for an 18-bed cardiac step-down/PACU unit. The position reports to the Director of Cardiac Nursing. The patients physical, psychological, developmental, and social needs are assessed and provided for and re-evaluated on a continual basis. The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing those needs as well as providing oversight for planning, development, and utilization of patient and departmental needs. This person will develop and mentor all reporting staff and strive to lead in the vision of Nemours employees, in a Nursing Magnet environment.

Specific Requirements:

  1. BSN Required (MSN or Masters in related field preferred)
  2. Five years clinical experience required, preferably at least one year in pediatrics.
  3. Knowledge of professional nursing theory & practice; knowledge of management theory and change process.
  4. Previous management experience required.
  5. Active registered nurse licensure for Delaware ((Delaware is a Compact State)).
  6. Current AHA Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification required.
